Using Video to Communicate with Customers

In fact, 72 % of ad agencies are convinced that video is more effective than placing TV ads. This can be attributed to the fact that videos are clickable and shareable on different online platforms which make them more readily available anytime, anywhere.

Aside from convincing prospects to buy your products and services, video can be used for different purposes. It can also be used to communicate with customers. Here are some ways to do that:

  1. Tell the audience what the product can do for them. Make an informative video about your products. In a research, it was found out that 64% to 85% of online surfers who come to your website are less likely to try your products after watching the promotional video.  Your video should be short enough but includes important information about the features and benefits of your products.
  2. Demonstrate how your product/services can help them with how-to-videos. This is a very effective way of turning a prospect into a real buyer. If you show them through a video that their problem can be resolved by using your product, they will probably buy it. For example, if you are selling cooking wares, show them how you cook faster and easier using your products.  If you are selling ties, show them how to properly tie a tie. In other words, make the viewers engage with using your product by showing them how something is done with the help of video.
  3. Welcome video for onboard users. New customers will feel happier if you thank them for buying your products. And since they are new, they might need assistance in product walkthroughs. You can send a link to your video together with your thank you note to the email addresses of your new customers. Also, if they are willing to share their social media account, you can invite them to be your friend on Facebook and other social media site then you can tag them on the “thank you” video and it will appear on their page once they accept your invitation and their permission to be tagged. This is also a way to promote your product in social media.
